Singapore Lantern Floating

Singapore Lantern Floating

Singapore lantern floating – Ripples of light for harmony and hope, held on Saturday 16 August, in conjunction with the SG60 celebration was blessed with great weather.

The event was graced by Ag. Minister Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim , Mr Fazlur Rahman (Chairman of Kembangan Harmony Circle), Mr Gurmit Singh, Phra Goh Chun Kiang of Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore (IRO) & friends from the community.

With every lantern, participants penned down their hopes, dreams, and wishes for the future, creating ripples of light that carried messages of peace, harmony, and unity.

Volunteers hosted guests on a tour of the gallery showcasing Shinnyo Buddhism. Just as Shinnyo-en Singapore visits various places of worship, deeper understanding among faiths and traditions were cultivated, something truly unique to Singapore’s culture of harmony in diversity.

To celebrate Singapore’s milestone, fringe activities with traditional old school games, local snacks like kachang puteh and the nostalgic ice-cream cart brought smile to everyone. The choir concluded the event with their melodic voices, singing “Home” & “Bunga Sayang”, 2 of Singapore’s iconic songs. Our sincere thanks to all participants, guests and volunteers who brought positive vibes, making the event a success!
